The walking takes 20 min more or less. It is useful to ask for a big public transport map, in hostels for example. - the one with the streets shows you where to walk.

Alternatively, you may skip the option of hopping over the wire fence and walking on the highway. About 15 meters to the bridge there is a little tarred street on your right called Chemin des Jules, along an agricultural field, just walk on it till the end and you will see a door on the right left that opens directly to the border.
