The cars are fast but they can stop on the entrance ramp. To get there, catch the Bus U and stop at the station "Porte d'ollioules" and walk 5 minutes to the high way.

Take the bus to the stop called "Pontcarral" by taking lines 8, 18, 70. This bus stop is right near the entrance ramp to the highway and there is a place for cars to pull over easily [https://www.google.fr/maps/@43.1269782,5.8946735,18.44z].

After there is a little gas station at 25 km near Cassis call "the Plaines Bar", quite easy to catch another car to choose Marseille or Aix.
