Hitchwiki talk:Legal Notice

:: Are you sure we don't need a disclaimer? Regardless of the actual risk to hitchhikers, we're promoting something that has the potential to be a dangerous activity, and we can't and shouldn't hide the fact that hitchhiking sometimes gets people injured/raped/kidnapped or worse. I couldn't live with someone taking advice I've written, trying it out and ending up dead. We have to say somewhere that hitchhikers are taking our advice at their own risk, and we're not taking responsibility for what may happen. --Tom 11:59, 22 June 2007 (CEST)
::: I'm pretty sure, that we won't be legally responsible if something happens to a hitchhiker after following advices from hitchwiki. We already do warn people about the risks (i.e. Safety). Maybe we could highlight this a bit more, but I think people consider hitchhiking as much more dangerous than it really is anyway. --MrTweek 13:12, 22 June 2007 (CEST)
:::: I'm not interested in a legal disclaimer, I'm not a lawyer. But a 'moral' disclaimer - a short note (one or two sentences max) to say that all advice here is followed under your own risk, but accidents can happen so don't say we didn't warn you - would be a good idea I feel. --Tom 14:49, 22 June 2007 (CEST)
