== How to get out of Kiev ==Kyiv is a very big city, however it has a very efficient metro (underground) system, especially if you're hitching west or east.

From here there is a big big big cityhuge roundabout - walk around the outside of the roundabout until you see the turn off to Kharkov (XAPKOB in Russian). Walk down the road, however it has and you'll probably see a very efficient metro lot of people also hitching there (undergroundthere was around 40 last time I did it in the middle of winter) system, especially if walk to the back of the queue and try to look like you're hitching west going a long distance - most people will only be going 30 or east40 kilometres (having a conspicuous backpack helps).
