Dressed up as a bride she was on a trip with her friend to promote world-peace and to show that trusting strangers increases peace. They started Brides on Tour on the 8th of March 2008 and before arriving in Turkey they had gone through [[Slovenia]], [[Croatia]], [[Bosnia]] and [[Bulgaria]].
Pippa went missing on the 31th of March of 2008 after she had left [[Istanbul]]. Her body was found dead in a forest near the town of [[Gebze]] in [[Turkey]], just 30-40 kilometers from Istanbul. Reports mention she was the victim of sexual or [[gender violence]]. Pippa's real name was Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo. She was 33 years old.
