== Language ==
Hardly anyone speaks English. Get yourself a phrasebook (beforehand) and a pocket dictionary (18 yuan in China).
Here are some helpful phrases.
公路 ''gong-lu'' means highway, national road<br />
高速公路 ''gao su gong lu'' means expressway (expway) <br />
我要去。。。。。"wo yao qu ...." means "I want to go to . . ."
你去那里？ "ni qu nali?" means "Where are you going?"
If you can't pronounce Chinese pretty well, they probably won't understand. But if you print these phrases out and show them to the driver or show them your phrase book (make sure it has Chinese characters otherwise Chinese people you are talking to won't be able to check and make sure they understand what you mean) then things will work pretty smooth.
