Figuratively speaking, of course. ;-) My opinion is that when you get somehow stuck in a far-off places like Schüttorf (And I doubt many non-locals would hitch the Bentheimerstrasse to get from, say, Hannover to Amsterdam when there's a BAB30 nearby) it doesn't hurt to have a wee look at the local niceties of any kind.
But you were completely right in removing it, that stuff belongs in a talk page and not on the main article page. (which I should know from wikipedia where I've been contributing for about two years now) How about meeting up for a beer sometime soon?
