If you're trying to get to [[Montreal]] from here, the map won't be of much use. The scenery, however, is beautiful farmland, and the Quebecois locals are very friendly! Speaking French will get you a long way here, but speaking in English is not too bad, either, since there is usually someone nearby who can translate, because of the proximity to the US border.  Getting into Canada at this border, there is also various local destinations that can be reached by hitching along the country road from [[A-35 (Quebec)|Route 133]] such as [[Cowansville]].

There is a little U-turn curve after the trucker custom crossing access that connects the "to" and "from" sides of the highway, on the Canadian side, which is a good spot to try and pick up a ride at.
