Take the number 2 bus going northwards from the central mosque square. After going for about 15-20min along the main road north, the bus turns right to the airport, but your direction is strait. From the airport turn the road north becomes a highway and you can start hitching from here. The turn off for the [[Irkeshtam pass]] and [[Torugart pass]] border crossings in to [[Kyrgyzstan]] is another 20km further down the highway
