There is a bus station where you can hitchhike easily towards direction ''Heidenheim'' (it's a small motorway, that leads to the [[A7 (Germany)|A7]]).
You need to ask the driver if he goes at least to ''Autobahnraststätte Lonetal''. From ''Rasthaus Seligweiler'' it's also very easy to get on the [[A8 (Germany)|A8]] in both directions ([[Stuttgart]] or [[Munich]]).
It is also possible to take a local train from Ulm Hbf to Kellmünz some 40kms south of Ulm. For Ding-semester ticket holders it's free. Walk over the train tracks and river and take road "Sägeweg" to the Autobahn [[A7 (Germany)|A7]]. There's a big gas station on both sides of the road.
