'''Bar''' is a city in [[Montenegro]]. The road M 2.4 is passing through the city and it is rather a small place, it is no hard work to find a convenient place to hold out your thumb.

Walk the M 2.4 in northern direction and just try to find a spot where cars can stop easily. Bar is not a big place, so it really not a big issue to get out towards Budva or Podgorica.

On the main road just walk south until you pass the harbor and the train station. Just stand on the side of the road and thumb from a spot where cars are able to stop. If you prefer a petrol station, there is one after some minutes of walking. If you head to Albania try to catch a direct lift at least to the border, as Ulcinj is more south and this will mean an unnecessary longer and more complicated way.

The harbor makes the shore quite industrial, so if you intend to camp wild on the beach, better leave Bar for that.
