=== Northwest along the Mississippi towards [[Minneapolis]] / [[St. Paul]] (via #61 highway) ===
The #61 highway runs through all the towns on the south side of the Missississippi River, and as it is not an Interstate highway, hitching is easy and perfectly legal in these parts. It runs through Winona on the south side.
