I hitchhike long distances in Ukraine at least three times a year, and I agree with the previous wording on the [[Ukraine]] article that it is rare for drivers to expect money. Sure, it happens, but the vast majority of drivers know what ''avtostop'' is: a way for backpackers to move long distances with no money. I've had less than 10 rides in UA, and they were short, but I was not asked for money. Ukrainian Wikipedia article on hitchhiking does not mention that paying for a ride is common in UA. --[[User:Fverhart|Fverhart]] ([[User talk:Fverhart|talk]]) 20:02, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
