April 2019: [[user:uncle_sam01]] uses this spot regularly for rides towards Vienna and it's probably the best in Brno. Rarely waited more than 30 minutes. The highway isn't ideal (cars going fast), but the gas station is great and there's always someone going towards Vienna. If not Vienna, then the Austrian border is also another great spot.

Take a tram 2 to the stop "Modřice, Tyršova". And walk little bit back near the Unicorn petrol station. Cars are going very fast here, however, and don't have much room to stop, so you might try alternating between thumbing on the road and asking drivers who stop at the station.

There's also a lot of people (especially Poles) going toward Znojmo and then towards Germany, so this may also be good for Munich.''

Take the trolleybus number 33 from the railway station (Hlavní nádraží) to the station "Langrova" (it takes 13 minutes). Cross the street and go up the street Slavkovská, after two minutes you come to a main road which you also cross and continue on a footpath straight for another 50 meters to a petrol station which already lies on a highway.
