Hitchhiking I started around 1980. As a student.
I kept on hitchhiking since.
In 1980 my tactics were:
have a haircut, fresh cloths and not to big , small bag.
I liked asking lorry drives for a ride.
Worked out fine.
In 2008 I intensified hitchhiking as I had more free time, and less money.
