Continue walking in this street, passing the first petrol station on your right, till you reach the second petrol station. You can either ask drivers in the Petrol station to give you a lift, or you can hitchhike from the bus station just before the petrol station. From here it is about 1 km till the motorway entrance.
'''2.''' Near the Maribor main train station, there's a main road called "Meljska cesta". About 1 block before the entrance to the H2 highway, there's a bus stop where cars about to enter the highway can easily stop. There are plenty of places to thumb in either sun or shade just in front of this bus stop. [[User:Itsagerston|itsagerston]] hitched a ride to Ljubljana in about 20 minutes on a Friday afternoon doing this in late October 2017. Heads up, though, a lot of people seemed displeased about our hitching. August 2019: I also used this spot to get to Ljubljana and got picked up about 40 mn after pulling my sign. From my two precedent hitch I understand that hitchiking used to be very popular 20 years ago, so you might want to try with people around 40/50.Note that this part of the town doesn’t have much tourist cars passing by, so you are likely to get picked by locals rather than tourists.
