What's so dramatic about kerosine prices since 2006? Isn't the airplane very bad for the environment, isn't hitchhiking about creating a better world? That's all :) from this environment-oriented person. Note. Corrected for inflation petrol prices in the Netherlands have gone up by a mere 20% since 1970. That's peanuts, the country still jammed of 7.5 million motor vehicles, driving further each year. --Fverhart 16:14, 3 June 2008 (CEST)

-- Although in perspective of other counties, petrol inflation price has been going up 50% in my homeland just since I am knowing you Frank. That's a bit scary for me as I am just on my way to move back to Canada ... and I would love to keep my ability to meet an international crowd. Compare to the Netherlands, the distances to get the same amount of people as you is fairly greater as you can imagine. Stupidly, plane travel is about to become for the first time in history the cheapest option to travel in North America Maplefanta 02:49, 4 June 2008 (CEST)

It says "there are stories of travelers [shoulder-tapping for tickets]". Where are these stories, I think a link would make that section much more useful. 01-04-11 -Andy
