:"Two weeks ago I was in Slovakia. I was at a gas station asking people for a lift. After 2 hours some cops arrived and told me that hitchhiking in Slovakia is illegal (everywhere!) and drivers can get a 100 euro fine (new law). After 4 hours the cops left the station and a Czech person took me. He told me that this is true..."
