About me
I'm currently a university student in York, England. I was born in the Netherlands and lived there for 13 years. After that I lived in Nicaragua for 4 years and Indonesia for 2 years. After high school I moved to the UK to study politics with international relations.
My experience with hitchhiking
I started hitchhiking in the summer of 2009. A Danish friend and I went through western Europe in 3 weeks, starting in Copenhagen, passing through Germany, Austria, Italy and France to get to Barcelona. We then went north to Toulouse, Paris, Antwerp and finished our trip in Amsterdam. I also tried hitchhiking from York to London and from London to Birmingham in November 2009, but I failed horrible. Probably won't be hitchhiking any more in the UK, but planning on hitchhiking a bit in the more hitchhiker friendly parts of Europe this spring.
