The A46 is an Autobahn in Germany. It is currently noncontiguous and split in several parts in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, an extension to Kassel in Hesse was planned but has been abandoned.

Erkrath (average)
- There are two ramps for going east, and one for going west. For direction east, the ramp for cars coming from Erkrath is safer for hitchhiking, as there is some space for cars to stop. The second choice offers much more traffic coming from Düsseldorf, but there is no hard-shoulder and cars can hardly stop.
