The A8 crosses southern Germany in East-West-direction.
Coming from Luxemburg, it passes Saarbrücken, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Ulm, Augsburg, Munich, Rosenheim and splits into the Austrian motorways A1 and A10 in Salzburg.
The [A8] is crossing the [A5] next to Karlsruhe and the A81 south of Stuttgart
There is a gap between Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe.
