The A96 crosss southern Germany, leading from the Austrian border near Lindau (Lake Constance) through Memmingen, Landsberg am Lech to Munich.

As of 2009 roadworks are taking place which mean that there can be heavy traffic jams on this road, especially on Sundays as people head home from the lakes/mountains.
