Berettyóújfalu is a town in eastern Hungary notable for being the junction between the '47(E79), running between Debrecen and Szeged, and the 42 (E60) which goes between Budapest and the Romanian border at Oradea.

Hitching out

East towards Romania

The Romanian border is about 25km from here. Many cars passing through here belong to western Romanians who come to Hungary for shopping and are only going to Oradea. If your destination is further east into Romania, it may be better to use a sign (e.g. "CJ" for Cluj-Napoca).
