The Budzisko-Kalvarija border checkpoint is a border crossing between Poland and Lithuania

Crossing into Lithuania

On the Lithuanian side, the E7 "Via Baltica" highway begins. This ultimately goes to Tallinn in Estonia.

Many truck drivers stop to rest at a parking lot on the Lithuanian side. If the driver leaves you here, you can go from truck to truck and ask one of the other drivers to take you on to at least Kaunas or Vilnius. Getting a lift in a car here is difficult, as cars drive through without parking and the drivers may think that stopping to pick up hitchhikers is not permitted. Truck drivers are the best bet.
