Taking bus 8, 30 or 46B, or trolleybus 4, 6 or 7 east to the stop ''IRA'' / ''Atlas'' (in the ''Mărăşti'' neighbourhood) After you get off the bus, you should see a bridge going up over the railroad tracks. You can hitchhike from the start of the bridge (near where some taxi drivers are typically hanging around).
* [[User:justgettingaround|Justgettingaround]] headed north to a campsite at Apuseni natural park in June 2019. Took the train from Cluj to Baciu and started walking out about 20min in the general direction of the lake at Belis (3 girls). Hitched into the lak e, out of the lake, up the mountain to two campsites in Apuseni, and got a roof to sleep under the rain all before dark - 10pm-ish in the summertime. Took all day but we were also taking our time to see the lake/have lunch/etc. Leaving Apuseni, we weren´t so lucky and were stranded 150km from Cluj in the dark. Still, got picked up and given a feast/warm bed to sleep in for the night by some good people about 30 minutes east of Vartop. Speaking Italian and Spanish was helpful.
