Hitching out

Heading West (Macroom, Killarney)

Hitching from the city centre is a little difficult. You can take the bus the from University College until the last station. Then ask the bus driver for the national road to Killarney. When you are lucky (like MrTweek was), the bus driver might take you there.

Heading to Dublin, Waterford

Lower Glanmire Road, where you will also find the train station.

Heading North (Limerick city, etc)

Go to the Blackpool shopping centre on the North side of the city. This can be reached by the number 5 A bus from Cork City Centre (Merchants Quay) for around 1.50 Euro. From here, you walk up the motorway for 10 minutes until you reach a bus shelter on the left hand side. We waited for 20 minutes with a sign at this spot and got a lift to Limerick city
