Hitchiking Out

North

There are two main routes that head north out of The Metroplex. I-35 towards O.K.C., and US-75 towards Tulsa, OK.

I-35

• Take public transit out to Denton, and walk out of town via US-77, towards the TA Travel center. There is a pretty big pullout on the I-35 frontage road, so you can hitch from there safely.

• There is a Pilot Travel Center at the intersection of I-35W, and the Alliance Gateway Fwy. At this spot, you should throw up a sign at the Travel Center.

Note: As of 2023, there is a massive amount of road construction happening in the area around the Pilot Travel Center, so hitching from the frontage road isn't really an option.

US-75

• From Parker Road Station (Orange/Red Line) in Plano, walk north west to the Costco. The northern most entrance to their parking lot is the Truck entrance, and it offers a great place for traffic to pull off the frontage road.
