There are about 1400 islands in Greece. Hitchhiking in cars will likely prove much easier than on the mainland! Hitching in boats may be possible too.
Some islands are Chios, the best for hitching! Lesbos or Lesvos, Elafonissos, Corfu or Kerkya, Lefkada, Kefallonia, Ithaka.
