Other useful info
Public transport in Guadalajara is far below the standard of Mexico City. The bus system is old and bus-stops don't contain any useful information and in any case are often missing completely. There is a metro system of sorts in Guadalajara but it is comparable to the buses. The website http://www.buscaturuta.com is absolutely indispensable for finding your way around, even the locals resort to it regularly.
