Hitchhiking at night is definitely not as easy as during daylight. But it's still possible, depending on the situation and location.

At gas stations on highways in Western Europe you stand a fair chance, especially when trying to reach a bigger city.

It'll get tougher. Apart from much less traffic, people may trust you less
