Hitchwiki, a free collaborative guide written by and for hitchhikers, reached 1000 articles in English on xx date 2008. The project started in 2005 and has been growing constantly. More than 400 hitchhikers from all over the world over collaboratively written 1500 pages in 7 languages.
Hitchwiki is an online hitchhikers sharing-point with information about good hitchhiking spots in numerous cities, hitchhiking culture in different countries, general know-how about what to pack, what to eat and how to stay safe.
