It's great to be able to access Hitchwiki information when you're not connected to the internet. There are several options for that.

Daily database-dumps can be found here: Hitchwiki:Database_dumps
- Aaard Dictionary
Plattforms: Ubuntu, Mac OS X, Windows, Android, source code
Licence: GPL
Website: http://aarddict.org
Filetype: Aard Files (.aar). A tutorial (for Ubuntu) how to convert the database-dumps into an .aar file can be found on their website. You have to edit the file "fetchsiteinfo.py": "...//%s/w/api.php..." -> "...//%s/api.php..."
You can find a recently (08/march/2011) converted database here. You'll just need the .aar file.
- httrack
"HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility."
- DICT
Guaka converted the Hitchwiki database dump into the dict format. If your OS is Debianic you can try to apt-get install dictd and copy this file into /usr/share/dictd
Guaka is using this on his Nokia 770, so he can access Hitchwiki info while on the road!
You can download it at: http://groups.google.com/group/hitchwiki/web/dict-hitchwiki.tar.bz2
