Hrebenne-Rava Ruska border crossing

The Hrebenne-Rava Ruska border crossing joins Poland near Zamość and Ukraine near Lviv on the E372 road.

Walking through this border is allowed. Before the first police checkpoint, you must ask the drivers of the waiting cars for a lift through. Unfortunately, long waits of up to 8 hours are common at this border, so even once you get into a car, you must be patient.

Northwest to Zamość, Lublin

Many drivers proceeding through the border crossing are smugglers who go no further than the parking lot on the Polish side. However, it is easy to stop a car on the road leading away from the border crossing, a bit up from the police checkpoint and next to the sign reading "Welcome to the European Union".
