Irkutsk (Russian: Иркутск) is a siberian city near the Baikal lake

South-West towards Sludianka, Ulan-Ude

From down-town Irkutsk, near the main market, take a mini-bus (marshrutka) going to Shelekhov (Шелехов) and go until the last stop (50minutes). You will be on a highway going to Ulan-Ude and it's a great hitch-hiking spot.
