Hitchhiking from Lake Louise to Jasper

Get out of the town, following the signs pointing to the highway. Cross the bridge (be careful, lots of traffic, no pedestrian crossing) and get to the gateway of the highway. There will not be THAT much traffic, but chances are you get picked up. Don't choose only a 20km ride from there. You might end up in the middle of nowhere. Choose a long ride, as theres practically nothing between Lake Luise and Jasper, only one gas station at the point where you can catch David Thomson HWY -11- to Red Deer.

From Lake Luise continuing on Highway 1 eastbound

The streets split after Lake Luise - see that on google map. That will be a bit tricky. Highway 1 continues strait if you continue eastbound.

There is no town until GOLDEN. Field is only a hotel and a roadhouse - as far as I remember. A little town on the left side, away from the Highway. Gas station Golden right at the highway, its quite big, you should get all your supplies you need there. Hitchhiking from there is ok too.
