Hitching Out

NORTH to Urumqi/Turpan or WEST to Irkeshtam Pass and Kyrgyzstan

Take the number 2 bus going northwards from the central mosque square. After going for about 15-20min along the main road north, the bus turns right to the airport, but your direction is strait. From the airport turn the road north becomes a highway and you can start hitching from here. The turn off for the Irkeshtam pass and Torugart pass border crossings in to Kyrgyzstan is another 20km further down the highway GOOD LUCK :)
