Milano (English: Milan, German: Mailand) is the second biggest city in Italy.

Hitching Out

<map lat='45.49094569262732' lng='9.22027587890625' zoom='9' view='0' float='right'/> From the city center, take the metro #2 (green line) towards Cologno or Gessate. Get out at Gobba.

East towards Verona

If you want to go eastwards direction Verona (A4) try this: At the end of the platform of Gobba, right where you get out of the train, begins a bridge over the highway leading to an extra train going only to some certain hospital. It costs you ~ EUR 1,20. Getting out there (at the hospital), you follow the stream of people and go up the first steps you see (round ones). Look for a high place - from there you can see the gas station. Best is to ask someone to show you the best way down to the gas station.

South towards Bologna

Walk for around 10 minutes from Gobba metro station to the gas station (also Agip) on the other side of the highway. Look on the city map in metro stations how to walk there exactly - very simple.

Sleeping

If you get lost in Milano without a host, try to go to the Il Postello, a great hostel in the center of Milano for only 10 EUR per night.
