Take bus #18 or trolleybus #4 from the train/busstation and get out at Dostoevskaga - one of the last stops before returning to the city centre. A ticket will cost your 19,- RUB. On your right hand sight you will see a huge bridge. This is the only in bridge around Murmansk to the other side of the Kola Bay. The bridge connects the city and the M18 highway with each other. Before entering the bridge, there are traffic lights. That is a good place to hitchhike either southwards towards Petrozavodsk and Saint Petersburg, or northwards towards the Norwegian city of Kirkenes.
