Nagylak is the border between Hungary and Romania. The village of Nagylak is situated in Hungary, however, on the other side, there's a town called Nădlac.

Direction East

The border is about 50 km for Arad, and the majority of cars is going there. There is also a heavy truck traffic. For hitchhiking there is a parking lot for trucks just afther the border and 400 m further a gas station.

Direction West

The majority of cars is going to Szeged wich is about 50 km on the national road number 43. If going north it is still recomended to go to Szeged, and from there futher taking the roads 47 for north-east (direction Békéscsaba), 5/M5 (E75) for north (direction Budapest) and south (direction Serbia) and 55 for west (direction Baja, Pécs). For hitchhiking, there is a gas station about 600 m afther the border, or just cross the border on foot, and start hitching there.
