Hitching Out
East towards London or North towards Birmingham
To get out of Oxford towards London or Birmingham the easiest way is to take bus #280 (leaves outside the railway station) to the service station on the M40 motorway, this costs about 2 pounds.
South towards Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester
If you want to head to Portsmouth, Southampton or Winchester, try going to the Botley junction with the A34. From the same junction the [[A420 (England){A420]] goes towards Swindon & Bristol. Take bus #4 (Botley).
