Pakistan is a country in Central Asia.

Police have a terrible reputation in Pakistan. In nicer states like Punjab they try to force you onto a bus but when you strongly say no, they stop a truck for you. It seems that police in Balochistan are very much against hitchhiking and will force you onto buses. In the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) the police are on high alert and a foreigner hitchhiking is to be treated with extreme caution! In 2009 User:Taylor was illegally detained, beaten, harassed and accused of being CIA spy or being Afghan and having a fake passport. Not good.

As a guy, it's amazing to hitchhike in Pakistan. The Pakistani trucks are beautiful and the truck drivers very hospitable.
