" If coming in with a commuter train, they easily take you out of your train to search your belongings, while your train continues without you. Forget any compensation for your ticket. This is just to show that your place should be in a freight train. Some of them act very neutrally, some others behave like louts. No use to complain any higher authorities afterwords, you won´t receive any attention, specially if you write in any other language but German."

--> bullshit!!

I removed some of it. But if it's bullshit, your rewriting it would be a very welcome addition! :) Guaka 20:21, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

I will try to rewrite it, my english might not be very good, though 84.169.240.66 18:05, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Don't worry about spelling and stuff like that! It's a wiki! :) Guaka 19:53, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Is it really usual, that custom officers check ones luggage, when travelling from Poland? Although I never travelled there, I can hardly believe that.

I removed the assertion that this will happen at the border to the netherland, because I live close to that border and I know that this is not true.

It is not usual, but it is a border crossing and completely normal if the officers would decide to do so... as they are paid to do so under practical need or pure suspicion, it just therefore can be expected. (ps. what is the upper top section about?) Maplefanta 19:53, 6 November 2007 (CET)
If you are looking for experiences with custom officers at the polish border, mine as always been positive and flashing a canadian passport as always made the prior most aggressive officer, (either polish or german approaching the border by foot on the highway), continue into a fully polite chat...

The last 2 sentences of the border crossing should be re-written, I can't understand them Maplefanta 19:53, 6 November 2007 (CET)

I rewrote it a little and hope that's better now. I'm not sure wether this information is really helpful, because i never had such problems. About the part that I removed: There is no real border to the Netherlands anymore. I crossed it very very often and never saw any custom officers. Even it they are allowed to stop and check people, this just doesn't happen nowadays. Chances for that are much higher in a soccer stadium or on music festivals. --MrTweeksite, wikitalk 20:44, 6 November 2007 (CET)

About the mitgefahren section, mitgefahren is a carsharing website so of course you pay your driver for the service... I must say I do not understand the description made (??)Maplefanta 19:53, 6 November 2007 (CET)

Yeah, you're right. I hardly understood it and found it useless. I usually hitchhike because I don't want to use mitfahrgelegenheit. --MrTweeksite, wikitalk 20:44, 6 November 2007 (CET)
A description of the Mitfahrzentrale website could still exist as it is decent information and quite a possible alternative, but it should simply be described for what it is and its system basically explained instead of doing an appreciation of it. I can try to sketch it out... the previous explanation on the wiki was not telling anything about it at all Maplefanta 20:57, 6 November 2007 (CET)

Last one that modified this page, I can't see the letters you added. In stead of the normal ones, I see just random stuff (nonexistent letters and smudgy characters). Anyone else have this problem. Rolling back modification. TruckThor 23:55, 10 July 2008 (CEST)
