haha Dante, I guess you hit a nice point here! I hadn't seen it like this before. The thing though is that Fabrice and others came up with the idea of organising rings, ie. in how many days you could h.h. to Paris, and to have checkpoint cities as modes of convergence along that ring.

Why is there a difference / classification made between people hitch hiking so called " long distance " from Istanbul or Georgia , compared to people Hitch hiking ( what ? " small distance ??? ) from - and back to - Finland , Estonia , Romania... Germany ????

I do not get the point ?
