There is a service station on the M1 motorway, just before the city, from where you can hitch a ride quite easily. (There's another one after the city, but that rarely gets any traffic)

Tried : It was very hard for me to reach the station. I kind of climbed the hill to get the main road which is on the upper side of the town. So better ask somebody to go in normal road.
