One thing that makes Tennessee appeal to hitchhikers is that the I love this state has ,except Nashville and anywhere near Nashville,stay out of Franklin,but the largest amount of highwayspeople are great, bypassesI've been picked up by good ole boys to meth queens, and interstates; surrounded by 8 statesif you look decent people will look out for you, Tennessee is people still have that southern hospitality outlook there-token Me and a crossroads friend just hitched from Asheville, N.C to the entire southJohnson city, and as such your options for traveling got loads of hassle from the cops. apparently there are greatly improvedis a city ordinance against hitchhiking (and panhandling, which they thought we were doing even though we weren't). don't stop here unless you want to stay a while. - Magpie
