Born in the Netherlands, in 1957.
Hitchhiking I started around 1980. As a student.
In 1980 my hitchhiking tactics were: have a haircut, fresh cloths, small bag. I liked asking lorry drives for a ride. Worked out fine.
In 2008 I intensified hitchhiking as I had more free time, and less money. While hitchiking in France, I got a ride from a "française". We married in 2013: "C'est un belle histoire". We live in Lille, France
In 2022 I became grandfather. And finally took a little task in maintaining hitchwiki.org: I decided to check every sunday for new account requests.
