Buffalo, NY to Cleveland, Ohio

I am soon to be heading toward Buffalo, New York and then onto Detroit. However, I have not been able to find any reasonable bus trips between Buffalo and Detroit. Average trip runs through Canada (Ontario) and ranges up to $70.

Therefore, I am looking at an alternative. I can take a bus from Buffalo to Cleveland, however, I was thinking of trying my hand at hitchhiking. I have hitchhiked before, but I am not a professional by any means.

Does anyone have any experience in the area or thoughts? Do you think that I can depend on finding a hitchhike?

Thanks, Andy
