Welcome to hitchwiki and thank you for your contributions.

I am not sure, wether we can keep the maps here, because possible of copyright violations. You should have a look at Liftershalte.info, which intention it is, to become a world map for hitchhiking spots. It is planned to integrate maps from there to hitchwiki as well. Maybe this can also make it easier for you to create such maps. If you have any questions, don't bother to contact me. --MrTweek 14:15, 14 March 2007 (CET)

hey :) thanks for alert ;) but i think they won't mind it ;) any way i was looking on their (my hometwon) web page if it's possible to put that maps, and they don't say anything about it so... ;) they mind if i would use their photographic map :) http://www.zielona-gora.pl/UMEN/?id=437962&pw=4
But they still have the copyright on that maps, and as long as we have no explicit permission to use them, this could lead us into really serious troubles :( Maybe you can send an E-Mail to their Webmaster and kindly ask for permission. --MrTweek 15:27, 14 March 2007 (CET)
ok, it's no problem for me to ask them :) but once more time ;) they says that: Copying and publishing of the photographic map (aerial photographs) without permission of the authorized representative of the City Hall is strictly prohibited. This regulation does not apply to links of chosen views, acquired by the publishing functions of the map.
so it stands fot differnet map, cause there are 2 maps :)
but, ok, i'll ask, if they wont i'll make my own, very similar ;)
I understood this, but even though it is not obvious in this case, they could still sue me, if we don't have an explicit permission. So, I hope you can understand, that I wouldn't have a good feeling with this.
However, you should really have a look at Liftershalte.info, because you can create your maps there online very easy. And they would be zoomable, scrollable, editable and you would even have satellite images. --MrTweek 15:57, 14 March 2007 (CET)

but can i take some screenshots from that maps ? :) i want to draw some routes :)
i will delete my old maps :)
Unfortunately, publishing screenshots from where would be a copyright violation as well, as these maps are owned by google :( I'm sorry. I will see, if I can implement a feature to let you draw lines directly into that map. --MrTweek 16:31, 14 March 2007 (CET)
maybe you want some help ? :) i've never ever works with it but alwayas can try something new :)

I would really appreciate some help, but it's all about JavaScript coding, so I guess you would need some experience in that. You can also contact me via email: mrtweek [AT] flupps.net --MrTweek 16:47, 14 March 2007 (CET)
