Vama Veche is a small village in southeastern Romania, located on the Black Sea very close to the border with Bulgaria (you can cross into Bulgaria at the Durankulak-Vama Veche border crossing). In summer, Vama Veche’s beach attracts many people looking for a less commercial atmosphere than the other Black Sea resorts.

Hitching out

Walking out of Vama Veche might be the easiest thing a hitchhiker can do. However, when you've visited the festival and leave on a day when many people are leaving (e.g. on the last day of this festival), make sure that you start your trip early because there will be lots of other people hoping to get a ride too!
