§17C17C-10-6. Pedestrians on roadways; soliciting rides.:(c) No person shall stand in a roadway for the purpose of soliciting a ride from the driver of any vehicle.As with most states17C-1-37. Roadway.:"Roadway" means that portion of a highway improved, designed, the definition or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, exclusive of roadway in this context allows for the solicitation of rides when berm or shoulder. Stay on the shoulder or bermand you will be fine.
